Is Bitcoin Core evil?
“Evil” is a strong word. However, what I do know is that the actions, whether “good” or “evil,” taken by individuals and institutions, do not come from what they are thinking. Their actions ultimately come from their belief system.
When the United States took prayer out of schools in the early 60’s, I believe God allowed Marxist educators to replace many of our “good” teachers. The students of these teachers now hold positions of power in and outside of government. Unfortunately, when you are brainwashed into blindly following an ideology, you crush free thought and free speech.
Could this have happened to Bitcoin Core developers? When we choose to be offended by what someone else has to say, you cut off all roads to an open dialogue. Hearing what the “other side” has to say is how we grow and learn, even if we disagree with some points. Many have been brainwashed into thinking that diversity is “good.” It’s not about diversity, it’s about allowing diversity to unify us to become better and stronger. Fortunately, we all have the freedom of choice.
In Genesis 3:15, our Creator allows us to serve the Seed of the Woman, who is Jesus Christ and who is Truth. Free will also gives us the choice to serve the seed of satan, which is pure “evil.” The catch is, there’s no sitting on the fence.
The question is, did Bitcoin Core 30 open the door to “evil?” You will have to come to your own conclusions about this. The truth is that mistakes can be corrected. Bitcoin Core developers can choose to be “good” maintainers of Satoshi’s blessing, or they can turn his blessing of pristine money, that is outside the rails of oppressive governments, into a curse.
We are told that “unequal weights are an abomination.” With the recent changes to the data carrier size by Bitcoin Core they granted favor to certain individuals and groups over others. This blunder could also be a threat to bitcoin’s decentralized advantage.
Could all of history be hinged on solving this problem? King Solomon reminds us that “eternity” has been placed in all of our hearts. We must zoom out to gain perspective. We all have value in God’s eyes and we must come together and solve this challenge for something “good” and not “evil.”
